## Organization & Mission

**Fastfetch Documentation & Resource Center** is the authoritative, community-driven resource hub, configuration cookbook, and technical documentation repository for the Fastfetch system telemetry project.

Following the archival of Neofetch in April 2024, our mission has been to provide developers, systems administrators, and Unix ricing enthusiasts with verified, high-performance documentation, tested JSONC recipes, and universal shell greeting setups.

## Upstream Relationship

The core Fastfetch software binary is maintained by Linus Dierheimer and the open-source community at `github.com/fastfetch-cli/fastfetch`.

Fastfetch Documentation & Resource Center operates as an independent documentation project dedicated to authoring web documentation, interactive dotfile generators, and AI-agent discovery standards (`llms.txt`, `AGENTS.md`, and `acceptmarkdown.com` content negotiation).

## Core Technical Values

1. **Sub-Millisecond Native Execution:** Written in C (C99 / C11) with native OS API calls (Win32, sysctl, procfs), executing in 1–5 milliseconds.
2. **Zero-Telemetry Architecture:** Fastfetch gathers metrics strictly in local memory and contains zero network phone-home code.
3. **Structured JSONC Configuration:** Built-in JSON schema validation for modern editors.
4. **Permissive Open Source:** All documentation and code samples are MIT licensed.
